Grief, Regret, Guilt and Shame
June 17, 2023God’s Presence
July 12, 2023One of my favorite things to do is read. After Jamaal passed away, I found it challenging to find books I wanted to read. However, after some searching, I found books I was interested in reading, many of which helped me with my grief. The books reminded me that I'm not alone in my circumstances - that others have managed to bear the loss of a loved one. Admittedly, most of the books I read were from my local library's religious or Christian section, so they encourage readers to pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ and for those who have already accepted Christ in their lives to rely on Him in their struggles. The books I enjoyed the most were the ones that encouraged me to hope and maintain hope throughout my life.
Below is the list of books that I have read so far. I will add more to the list as I read more books dealing with grief and losing a loved one. Some of the books on the list don't deal with grief specifically but helped me in my thinking or other ways.
